The Bright Ages in Blacksburg (and online)

As a part of Virginia Tech’s 2nd Annual “Humanities Week” February 20-24 (next week), Matt and David will be together to talk about our most recent book The Bright Ages: A New History of Medieval Europe. We’ll be talking about our process of writing, the zombie myth of medieval Europe as “the Dark Ages,” and why studying the period matters now perhaps more than ever.

The event will be held in-person but also can be watched online. All are welcome to attend but registration is required. Registration ($25) gets you a copy of the book and provides a donation to Matt’s home department at Virginia Tech.
